User details redesign

User details panel got a new look. We made changes by adding additional information about the user and his sessions. From now, you can check the All sessions or Matching sessions along with statistics. Also, we added a "User info" tab with extra data from last recorded sessions (such as custom properties).

Easier page elements anonymization

We’re introducing an easier way to protect sensitive content from being recorded. From now on, you can exclude elements by creating a rule in LiveSession's application.

This feature is available in website settings under the "Recording elements" tab. To create a new rule, click on the "Add rule" button and add a selector of the element you want to anonymize. Please note that the child nodes will be affected too (eg. excluding "body" will anonymize the whole page). Also, changes in the rules are applied to future sessions only.

Dropdown pages list

In the session player view, we have added a dropdown list of pages visited by the user during the session. You can see how much time your visitor spent on each page and go to the specific part of the recording:

Data Export

You can now export data from your LiveSession account. Log in to your account, click on “Sessions” in the left-hand menu and click on the Export button in the upper right corner of the list. The export will include data of users or events (coming soon) that match the criteria you set using the Filters.

To export data, choose the Export name, Data type (Users or Events [coming soon]), and file format. After clicking on the "Export" button, you will receive an email with a link to the file. Data will be also available under the Settings > Exports tab.

Minor UI improvements

1. The top bar of a session's list redesign

We have redesigned the top bar at a session's list view:

Now, a segment's name is visible on the upper left of the bar. We also made some minor UI changes to the filter view:

2. Segments' list

We regrouped the Segment list's view. Starred elements are now moved to the top, followed by the default ones. You can also collapse groups of segments:

Minimum time on page

From now on, you can set the minimum length of a session you’d like to track. By default, we start recording sessions immediately after your user visits the website, but you can choose to cut off all sessions that don’t meet the minimum length criteria.

Use the search bar to find users

As of today, you can use LiveSession’s search bar to find users by their email addresses or name. This action will create a new search with an adequate filter:

Search events by their content

We’ve added an option to search events by their content. We’ve also redesigned the event types dropdown by changing the way each type of event is shown and adding information about the number of events of each type:
